HOW TO INTERPRET YOUR DREAMS TO PREDICT YOUR FUTURE

How do you know if  YOUR dream is a pre-cognitive dream – a dream that predicts the future?  So many people wonder about this question.  Over the years I have been asked this question often and in myDREAMS -A PLACE TO BEGIN“ DVD  you will find a very specific technique on how to get the ball rolling on the answer to this question.

Its interesting that a crystal ball is the imagery used when it comes to predecting the future as “crystals” especially clear quartz are known as energy boosters or amplifiers.  The symbol or imagery is quite fitting.   The Language of Mind is pictures or images or symbols – all words that describes how we perceive our dream scenarios.

Dreams are first and foremost about the dreamer however, SOME DREAMS carry the extra or bonus function of also being a future revelation.  So HOW do you know?   Several things may tip you off and of course retrospect or looking back and recognizing after the fact you HAD a dream that predicted a future event is truly the starting point for most people.

Entrepreneurs, creative people, people in “the arts”  often have “future” dreams because their minds tend to be open, seeking and receptive to the broadcasts from the Universe (so to speak).  Of course, they are not the ONLY ones who get “future” dreams but many times they tend to get them more often or perhaps they just pay attention to them more often.

Which IS one of the KEYS to identifying a precogitive/future dream.   Being able to give your UNDIVIDED ATTENTION to your thoughts and in your life is crutial to recognizing a possible future dream.

In my 25+ years of working with other’s dreams, being a stage and consulting hypnotist,  as well as working with my own, I have found that future dreams generally have some sort of “marker” or identifing quality that is different than the rest of the dreams we have.  For myself , I have come to identify a future dream because it has a crispness, or clearness that is not present in any of my other dreams.  An analogy I use when I describe this quality is like the difference between a high humidy day where the air is thick and hot compared to the kind of day where the air is clear, the sky is bright, breath comes easily and you are glad to be alive.  My words now are my “future” dreams carry a crispness and clarity that my regular dreams do not.

While there truly is no “cut and dried” way of determining a “future” dream you can, however, review your history of dreams.  Review the time you “felt” you may have had a future dream and then look to see if there are any common denomiators.  To recap how to interpret your dreams to predict your future:

1.  Look back at past dreams and compare them to what has happened up to now

2.  Pay attention to your dreams AND your waking life so you can connect waking events and dreams

3.  Trust that you ARE a receiver and that the reason you are getting “advance notice” is so you can either prepare or make different choices that will produce different outcomes (some things you can change totally externally – some you cannot HOWEVER in ALL situations you have the abilty and option to change/adjust your ATTITUDE about whatever happens)

Example.  I once had a dream that I was driving, it was dark and I had just started on a trip in the early hours of the morning.  It was cold.  A truck changed lanes in front of me very close – I hit my brakes and was sliding toward the rear end of the truck (there was black ice on the road)

I woke up just before I was going to hit the truck.  I literally sat up in bed with the bejeebers scared out of me.  Because I work with dreams, I immediately wrote it down in my Dream Decoder Journal – noted the day, time and sun and moon phases – then went back to sleep.

The dream got filed in the back of my mind over the next few months as LIFE happened.  However, I was on my way to a city where I was booked for a hypnosis show  that was quite a distance.  I had pulled into a truck stop to get a little shut eye before continuing on.  I woke up – it was about 4 am so I decided to get on the road again.  Unbeknownst to me it had drizzled while I was asleep and the roads were covered with black ice. Because of my dream I was being extra cautious on on and off ramps so I was accelerating on the entrance ramp slowly to merge into traffic and this truck came by out of nowhere. As I didn’t realize there was black ice  I pumped my brakes but went into a 180 spin and was sliding into the back of the truck  spinning when the thought flashed through my head – MY DREAM of a few months ago.  So I put my full attention on my steering – managed to get to the side of the road - miraculously there was no other cars at this point.  Once to the side of the road the traffic came zooming by.  Thanks to my dream I was calm and didn’t panic when I was sliding.  And true to my dream I did NOT hit the back of the truck.

Precognitive dreams ARE there to give us NOTICE.  So increasing your level of ATTENTION to not only your dreams but YOUR DAILY LIFE empowers you to make better choices, stay focused, clear and able to act with more confidence and presence.

This is the tip of the iceberg and if you have questions or would like to work with me in person .

So until the next time

I like what you said about Entrepreneur’s having more future dreams …I find this to be true as an Entrepreneur and like your take on it….as we do have open minds and spirits and tend to be searching to help others and will do anything to get there! I’ve had many future dreams!
